New Spare Parts Facility In Singapore For MAN Diesel

Posted on October 19, 2009

MAN Diesel PrimeServ recently opened a new spare parts facility in Singapore. The new facility aims to deliver spare parts directly to the local market eliminating the need to ship parts to Asia from Europe. The opening of the Singapore facility fits with the overall PrimeServ strategy of locating its services as close as possible where needed. PrimeServ has continued to open service centers along main shipping routes and in areas with large populations of diesel power plants.

PrimeServ has had a presence in Singapore for many years and retains a crew of superintendent engineers and fitters. Its workshop has a large machine capacity and offers a full range of after-sales services. The new 10000 sq meter warehouse holds approximately 12000 spare parts.

Singapore has an expansive shipping infrastructure of terminals, bunker facilities, brokers and repair yards and holds a key geographical position in the shipping trade between East Asia, the Atlantic and the Indian Oceans.
