ESW to Demonstrate Locomotive Catalyst System

Environmental Solutions Worldwide, Inc. (ESW) announced that its subsidiary ESW America, Inc has received the first purchase order to supply it’s XTRM Cat diesel oxidation catalyst to the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) for demonstration in a diesel powered commuter rail locomotive. The order calls for the installation of 16 XTRM Cat catalysts into a GM EMD 645E3, 16-cylinder, two-stroke diesel powered locomotive being used in a commuter rail application. MJ Bradley & Associates, Inc., a United States based emission consulting firm will be working with ESW, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and MBTA to manage the technical demonstration aspects of the project.
