Altaaqa Global Invests In Cat

Altaaqa Global Energy Services, a subsidiary of the international conglomerate Zahid Group, recently invested in 32 Cat XGC1900H gas power modules and 27 Cat 3516H diesel power modules.

This new equipment adds 100 MW to Altaaqa Global’s fleet, allowing the company to support its rapid global expansion and address the power requirements of a wider client base. Altaaqa Global offers integrated power solutions, project consultancy and advisory services across a range of industries including oil & gas.

The Cat XGC1900 is a mobile generator set rated for 50 Hz prime operation at 1900 kW. Expanding on the offerings of the Cat XQ1475 generator set, the Cat XGC1900 generator set is the most efficient and features the highest power density in its category.

Equipped with a Cat G3516H engine, the new Cat XGC1900 mobile generator set offers reduced oil consumption, and longer service and maintenance intervals, leading to significantly reduced owning and operating costs, the company said. The high speed diesel block is designed to provide maximum performance on low pressure gaseous fuel supply, the company said. One electronic control module handles all engine functions including ignition, governing, air/fuel ratio control and engine protection.

A completely self-contained package with CE certified gas train and cooling, noise attenuation and air handling provides a smaller footprint on site with minimal setup, Cat said. This construction aptly accommodates the higher power density while maintaining a robust, rental-ready design.

Recognizing the opportunity to play a vital role in the advancement of growing economies, Caterpillar said its latest generation of gas and diesel power modules, the Cat XGC1900H power module and the Cat 3516H power module, offer performance and efficiency for utility and industrial applications.
