Delta-Q showcases high-power charging for EVs
24 October 2022
Battery charging solutions provider Delta-Q Technologies is exhibiting its full range of charging solutions for the construction industry in the Zapi Group booth (A4115) at the Bauma event in Munich, Germany. The company offers options ranging from 1.5 kW to 22 kW.
The company’s display includes the 1.5 kW ICL1500 charger, which is designed to meet OEM needs for a modular, scalable solution that can be distributed across vehicles or equipment. The unit comes with Delta-Q’s stackable charging software that allows OEMs to link from two to six chargers in parallel to deliver up to 7.5 kW for use as onboard or off-board power or a combination of the two.
The ICL1500 is available in an 85 V model that can optimally charge lithium battery systems from 14 to 24 cells in series, as well as a 120 V model that can charge systems from 21 to 34 cells in series. Both models work with various lithium-ion chemistries within these designated ranges.
Also on display is the XV3300, a three-in-one charging system designed for automotive and non-road mobile machinery applications. This compact, scalable solution combines a 3.3 kW charger, 500W DC-DC converter and EV charging station interface that is compliant with SAE J1772 (level 1 and 2) and IEC 61851 (mode 2 and 3) and enables it to charge from standard electric vehicle charging stations across North America and Europe. The compact, fast-charging solution can also be used in parallel to deliver up to 22 kW for heavy-duty vehicle applications.
“These charging solutions meet the demands from our OEM customers for higher charging power and voltage,” said Lloyd Gomm, vice president of Business Development, Delta-Q. “Like our entire product line, the ICL1500 and XV3300 address the unique design and operating requirements of construction OEMs looking for electrification solutions.”
